Restaurants where you can eat in San Cristóbal (Galapagos)
Although the island of San Cristóbal is relatively large, the nerve center and where all life is concentrated (hotels and restaurants included) Puerto Baquerizo. In reality, they are still a handful of streets that stretch from the harbor inland, and the seafront is where most of the restaurants are located.
Here are our recommendations for places to eat on the island of San Cristóbalwe hope you like them!
1. Lucky’s Restaurant
One of our favorite options in Puerto Baquerizo, a simple place with daily menu for $5 which includes: soup, main course (meat or fish) and natural juice. We tried cheese soup and fried chicken and they were very tasty.
2. The Mad Crab
if you want to eat good fish and seafoodThis site is one of the best and at a good price, it is also right on the seafront, with a small terrace. The menu is extensive and entrees are around $12-18. We celebrate Robert’s birthday here and try shrimp stew ($16) and fried warlock ($15), a typical fish from the area which is already Rober’s new favorite dish haha.
3. Sea Garden Cafe
Here we only have one beer, but we highly recommend it because it’s one of those best places on the Malecón to watch sunset. They have an upper floor with a terrace and the place is beautiful. Although the menu is not extensive, you can always come and have a beer or coffee.
4. Playa Mann Food Court
Is anyone booths in Playa Mann itself, one of the most popular next to the city, where you can find menus for about $5 (soup, main course and juice). We didn’t get to eat here because when we left, after watching the sunset, they no longer served meals (we had read that they were also open for dinner, but apparently not).
5. Manabita Ranch
This small restaurant that offers late night menu for $6 which includes drinking and grilling various meats and fish, with menestra (beans) and rice. We tried chorizo and fish and both were very tasty.
6. Olympus
With the same concept and price late night menu at $6 we found Olimpo Restaurant. We tried a grilled fish and chicken dish, with rice, patacones and potatoes.
7. The corner of Sebas
We were recommended to come here to eat the best empanadas in the Galapagos but we didn’t have time anymore, so we don’t know if it’s true… But if you go, it’s well worth trying them. They say the seafood in particular is addictive ($2.50).
8. Sabor Cuencano Bakery
Rober still dreams about him blackberry bread hehe, I’m more than cheese empanada. But wow, everything is delicious and it’s an ideal option for breakfast, a snack or to bring something to snack on if you go on excursions. Pastry Price: $0.3-1. The cafes are expensive, but just across the street is a shop that sells filtered coffee for €1.
